I got a big big helium balloon in my house! =) And it says “Princess”. Whee! Love love love helium balloon~ Float, float, float! Happy floating princess! =)
Wan jing bought this balloon for me. Seriously touched by her actions! It is meant to be my belated birthday present. Well, during my birthday celebration the other day, she had something on and she did not attend. So, yesterday, after seeing me being sooo into raymond’s helium balloon, she went to get one for me! =)
Anyways, ever since the day of my ah ma’s funeral, my emotion and time haven’t been adjusted back. For the whole of this week, I did not do a single tutorial at all. I don’t know why. It is like, I don’t wish to do my tutorial and all I want to do is to look at the photos in my harddisk. I don’t feel like studying at all. Every time I start taking out my school work, regardless is notes or tutorial, I felt a total sian-ness. And I will start thinking of ah ma.
For the past 2 days, I ended up in tears in the morning. I guess it is because I have been keeping the tears inside during the 5 days of wake. On monday morning, I don’t know why, I feel super unhappy. When I got into the lt and sat down, my nose got red and I ran to the wash room to cry. I don’t know what I am crying about. I just feel super upset within. I felt terrible.
On tuesday morning, while on the train to school, tears actually rolled down again. I am not thinking of anything but it just started to roll. I am losing control of my emotions. I always thought I can control my emotions and everything will be ok. I am wrong, I failed to control my emotions. Everything have been quite messy for me. I am trying very hard too.
In the past, we will always go down ah ma place during the weekend. It is a compulsory thing. Slowly, we stop going because we have our own entertainment. The thought of going ah ma house and not seeing my ah ma sitting next to the sofa looking at us playing and running around makes me feel terrible. The thought of changes that happened now makes me feel upset. I wonder how is ah ma doing now?
I guess I need more time.
Ok, let’s talk about happy things! I realise I haven’t been updating blog. There are many photos in my computer. LOL!

Joseph’s Last Book Out!
In the evening, I went to meet up with jo, py and cl for dinner. We are celebrating jo’s last book out! =) We celebrated jo’s first book out with him. Unknowingly, we are celebrating his last book out. Time really fly fast.
We went down to city hall for dinner. Py is working down at city hall until 8.30pm. So we met up for late dinner. We went to xin wang for dinner. Yummy! We kept laughing and talking at xin wang. It had been ages since I saw cl. She had been sick for the past few days.
After dinner, we went to marina square to walk around. We wanted to play pool but by the time we finish playing will be very late. So we went to some place, sat down and start talking. We were busy photo taking. LOL! After talking, we took the last train back home. Tired!! =x

Justin’s Birthday Celebration!
I went out with justin to celebrate his birthday with him. During my birthday, he celebrated with me, so this time, I went to celebrate with him. See, what a nice partner! =) We went to lao pa sa for dinner. He have been telling me that he want to go there for dinner. So I accompanied him down to lao pa sa for dinner. Food~
After dinner, we went to one fullerton and esplanade. The night is still young. We start taking tons of photo. I think he is so entertaining me.

Beatrice’s Birthday Surprise!
My tutorial mate’s birthday! Her jc mate decided to give her a surprise. So we went to have lunch with her. It was meant to be a surprise. And it really is. She was shocked by it. She really thought we are not doing anything for her birthday. In the end, we got a cake.
After school, as daniel, samson and I don’t have physics tutorial, we went to collect the cake. After collecting, we went to place it at The Pallette. Then we went to meet up with them. We were waiting for 1.30pm. Samson left first as he have a date with his girlfriend.
At 1.30pm, we went to prepare and ‘set up’ the venue. When beatrice came, she was surprised with the cake. I guess she really didn’t expect it to happen =) Her birthday is 09 september. She can’t stop telling us that though. LOL!
She took photo with everyone present. I think she is shocked with the photo taking as, she can’t stop complaining about her hair. LOL! Hope she enjoyed her birthday! =)

Raymond’s Birthday Surprise!
Yes, I guess raymond knows that we are going to celebrate his birthday. Even so, we wanted to do something for him. During break, wan jing, georgina and I went to georgina’s hall to get the card for raymond. We are “SUPPOSED” to go back for lecture. In the end, due to some problem, we did not go. We were nua-ing and talking in georgina’s hall.
At 4pm, we took cab down to jurong point. We were late. Haha! We went to collect the cake. After collecting the cake, we went to NTUC to get a drink. We got this vitaminsed water. While queuing, there is this uncle who asked us what drink is that. He told us that the mineral water that he is buying is 45 cents and the drink we are getting is $1. Before he left, he even told us “see you!”. Funny!
We saw this balloon shop while wanjing is withdrawing money. So I suggested to get a balloon for raymond. We bought this super cute balloon from the store. We wanted to get a girly one so we can sabo him. In the end, we decided to be an angel and not bully him. The aunty kept laughing when we say we want to sabo him and get something girly. Haha!
After having the balloon sent for making, we went down and put the cake with them. After which, we went to ‘collect’ the balloon. Everything was placed in new york new york. We went to the wash room and waited for them to come. We were watching wolverine outside some shop. Finally, they came.
We went to have our dinner. The food is nice! =) After food, we had the cake. We asked them for the cake~ Ah! The balloon and the card came in too. Thanks so much for their help. Raymond got chocolate on his whole face. Poor raymond!
After singing birthday song for raymond, the table behind us sang birthday song too. It is little jason’s birthday. We made raymond give jason a slice of the cake and shake hands with him. After raymond come back to our table, little jason came and shyly give his a scoop of his ice cream. Aw! Isn’t he so cute, I mean little jason.
When we are about to foot the bill, alvin came. He is late! However, he came just in time to write a message for raymond. Then we were chatting and chatting while raymond went to get his face chocolate-less. After paying, we left new york new york. Chian shieh and jing jing came. We were talking to them. So sorry that they can’t make it in time.
We were outside waiting for wan jing and elieen. They went to the balloon shop. Wan jing said that she wanted to get a balloon for her friend. Her friend’s birthday is coming too. We were waiting and chatting. We went down to the mrt station to meet up with them. While waiting, I saw stella and zhiyuan.
When wan jing and elieen came, wan jing just put the balloon strip on my bag. OMG! She said that the balloon is for me. It is a total shock! I didn’t know that she went to get a balloon for me. And the balloon inside says “Princess”. Aw!
She got a princess word inside because the other day, I was telling her that my cousin called my nephew to call me gong zhu. Well, actually, it is because since young, my ah ma calls me gong zhu. So everyone from my mother side will call me gong zhu. Don’t ask me why, I have been trying to them why too. I guess only ah ma knows why.
But yes, I am damn shocked and happy! I love helium balloon. I always find it sooo cute and lovely! Though it have short lifespan, I still love playing with it =) To me, releasing a bunch of helium balloon together and seeing it fly up to the sky is one of the most romantic thing~
Helium balloon reminded me of that time, when bff wanted to ask R to be his girlfriend, he went to get this super big tortoise and many helium balloon. He put everything into the boot of his car. When he reach the top of this multi storey carpark, he open the boot and the helium balloons float up and the tortoise is in the centre of the boot. It is super romantic!
Anyways, back to the point. Wanjing gave me a helium balloon! Love her so much =) After which, I went to took train with stella, zhiyuan, siyu, phyllinda and chen yi. I kept playing with the balloon. At toa payoh central, many girls kept looking at the balloon. Haha! The balloon is envied by many.
Did I mention? My camera died on me again! It is the second time. Damn it! I took photos with siyu’s omina phone. So now I am waiting for siyu to send me the photos before uploading. Whee! I shall a couple of photos first.
Happy 21st birthday raymond!! =) I know you are damn touched! Haha!
Planning for the Surprise!
A group of us have been planning for an outing with my orientation group people about 1 month ago. The planning started 1 day after my birthday celebration with them. Ok, it is super obvious that my whole og is separated into two different groups. The group I am in is bigger and to a certain extend, more bonded. At least after 6 weeks of school, we still go for lunch and sit together during lecture.
The night of my birthday, I thought that it might be a good idea if we were to celebrate their birthday together since melissa and raymond is obviously from two different clique. We can take this chance to gather both cliques together.
3 weeks ago, I started discussing with siying, wanjing and georgina about this gathering I intended to have. After discussing with siying about our timetable, we came up with a day, tuesday. After coming up with the day and date, I start to plan the venue and surprise. 2 weeks ago, I sent out an sms asking if they are free on 15 september. I already ‘booked’ them on this day. I told them to reserve and keep this day free. 22 people told me that they are free.
Initially, we wanted a mcdonald birthday party celebration. Raymond is coming 21st, we wanted to celebrate his ‘last’ few days before going adult hood. Just when everything is more or less done, only leaving with the call to book, felicia told me that melissa hates mcdonald.
That totally turn us off. We had been planning for about 1 week, I research and went to look up on venues and even asked them for more details about it, we have to cancel the plan. So after cancelling, even though we are totally turn off, we continued to plan the gathering. There are many things we need to plan.
Planning was super difficult. It is because, we are holding it on a weekday and ntu is super far from town. It is practically impossible to ask them to travel down to town for celebration. I kept thinking of a place to accommodate 22 people. It is difficult! We wanted bbq but there is no place for us to hold bbq. We wanted this, wanted that.
Just when I am still busy cracking my brain and killing my brain cells, my ah ma condition got worst. I start running from school to hospital. I hardly have time to do my tutorials, what more about thinking of the celebration. So in the end, I decided to just have a simple dinner at jurong point.
So, after coming with a final decision of going new york new york and getting a cake for them, we decided to do a card to make it less ‘anti climax’. Ok, after all this planning, I got a news that melissa’s clique is not coming down at all. Fine~ What a turn off.
I got the news during the period of my ah ma’s wake. I don’t even want to think anymore. Imagine I am doing all my studying on the train everyday. Do you even think I have time to entertain them? Moreover, I have been changing the plans again and again, again and again. I am too tired to think of another plan.
And so, after asking a couple of them, we decided to just carry on with raymond’s surprise. I manage to squeeze some time off to go down to jurong point to reserve a cake for raymond and book the place. And for the card, I told georgina and siying to be in charge of it. I have enough brain cells killed.
So, on the actual day, I got only 9 people from gargoyle attending. What a turn off rate! Initally, 22 people said that they can make it, they will keep it free. In the end, only 9 attended. Like what others tell me, if they want to attend, they will keep the date free, even if they have appointment, they will reject it. And not last minute tell me that they have something on. So that “something” which comes later is overrides the 3 weeks of booking?
Imagine, gerald have interblock games and because we are celebrating raymond’s birthday, he rather rush back to school in cab than giving it a skip. And for raymond, he rather come down to have a dinner with us though he so wanted to go for vollyball game. Alvin, chian shieh and jing jing even rush down (though they are very late) to wish raymond a happy happy birthday. This is what I call effort.
If I know it will end up being a clique gathering, I wouldn’t have killed so much brain cells. Neither will I keep calling wanjing and bug her about it. I will not plan so much and keep thinking, “Will the other clique like it? Will they enjoy it?”
Actually, the whole thing is quite disheartening. However, I don’t care ever since the day I got the news that my ah ma pass away. When people tell me they can’t make it, I will just ‘hack care’. I can’t be bothered with the gathering. The reason is simple, I know that people from my clique will definitely go down. And I rather spend time with my ah ma than spending time complaining about people who don’t even care about making an effort.
So in the end, wanjing, georgina and I spent a great time looking for balloon for raymond. At least, we spent the time skipping lecture, running around jurong point and killing brain cells for raymond happily. The reason is because, we are doing it for someone who puts in effort in coming for the gathering.
Oh well, I should be neutral to such thing. I should have seen something like this many million, billion times during my time as bme president. Planning a big event is like this. I shouldn’t compare with the whole BME event, because it is for nearly 300 people. I should compare with my class gathering. When a class gathering is planned, at least 3/4 of the class is present. There is even once where only 1 or 2 isn’t.
As for my og, I think it is near impossible to have a gathering in which everyone is present. Out of the few gathering together, there isn’t a time in which 1/2 of the other clique is present. My side alone has about 9 people already. My whole has 18 people. Isn’t that just so pathetic?
